If you buy soft-gel vitamins, I encourage you to take a look at the food label contents. How would you like to know that vitamin manufacturers all over the world are taking one of the most toxic food ingredients known for consumption and putting it in soft gel vitamins and supplements as a filler? It is crazy, I know -- but true. You can find it in vitamins and supplements in health food stores, grocery stores, price discount warehouse clubs, retailers and pharmacies all over the country. What toxic ingredient you are asking? Hydrogenated oils -- especially partially hydrogenated soybean oil.

Today, anyone who focuses on their nutrition knows that hydrogenated oils are extremely toxic. From long-term studies, these toxic chemicals will lead to cardiovascular disease and heart attacks. In some studies, they show signs of leading to stroke. Hydrogenated oils have been shown to cause harm to the nervous system, sometimes irreparable. We know that they interfere with the regulation of everyday bodily functions, specifically absorption of the essential fatty acids you need to maintain healthy cell repair, healthy nervous system and healthy blood sugar regulation.

When people buy soft gel capsules, one would think they are getting what is directly stated on the label, right? Wrong! If the label on that vitamin bottle says Organic Coconut Oil, for example, you expect it to be only filled with Organic Coconut oil. This is common misconception.

You might be amazed to learn that this soft-gel whole food supplement only contains a minuscule amount of coconut oil. In fact, most of its contents are filler products. It could be soybean oil, hydrogenated oils or some other form of filler. It could be something that is actually dangerous to your health. You should read the ingredient labels on those vitamins, minerals and supplements. Just because you buy something that looks good on the label ? something that claims to have coconut oil in it ? it does not mean it actually has only coconut oils or that it is even good for you. Think critically for yourself and ask questions of the manufacturers before buying.
